IAR Embedded Workbench® for V850 includes the following new and enhanced functionality:

Version 3.71

V850E2M and V850E2H core support
Support for the V850E2M and V850E2H cores has been implemented including support the floating-point operation unit available on some of the devices. SIMD instruction set support is implemented in the assembler.
Improved optimization
The compiler has been optimized both for smaller code size and higher execution speed, compared to the previous version.

MINICUBE and IECUBE2 emulator support for V850E2M
Basic debug support for MINICUBE and IECUBE2 for V850E2M is now implemented in the C-SPY debugger.
Re-written simulator
The instruction-set simulator has been completely re-written. Apart from being more accurate in simulating the real hardware, new features like exception trap simulation and alignment checking has been added.
Downloading multiple images with C-SPY
C-SPY is now able to download multiple images/applications at the same time. Under Project options>Debugger>Images you specify the location of the images that shall be downloaded in addition to the current application. There is also a new debugger window called Images where you select for which application debug information shall be displayed.

C-SPY emulator toolbar added
C-SPY emulator drivers now have a toolbar, providing convenient shortcuts to the setup dialog boxes Hardware setup, Memory Monitoring setup, Trace setup, Timer setup, Trigger setup, Edit event and Edit sequencer.
Information Center
An integrated navigation system that gives easy access to tutorials, product documentation and example projects.

Updated device support
SFR header files, linker command files and device description files have been added for the latest NEC devices. Also, the device selection hierarchy under Project options has been improved to make navigation easier.
Updated user documentation
The IAR C/C++ Compiler Reference Guide, IAR C/C++ Assembler Reference Guide and C-SPY Hardware Debugger Systems User Guide have been updated.
